The All-China Association of Journalists on Friday expressed protest and condemnation of measures taken in the US against state-owned media in China and their employees, follows from the statement of the association, China Daily reported

"Such two-faced behavior exposed its hypocrisy in so-called freedom of the press, nothing short of double standards and hegemonic bullying," the association said in the statement.

The Association called on the US to abandon the Cold War mentality and ideological prejudice-based political pressure. It urged the US to immediately end discriminatory restrictions on Chinese media representations, gross interference in their work, and unjustified violation of the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese journalists in the US.

The State Department cap has earlier said it would cut the number of employees to 100 down from 160, according to The Wall Street Journal.
