YEREVAN. – The National Security Service (NSS) on Sunday issued a statement on the criminal case regarding the businesses of opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader, MP, and business tycoon Gagik Tsarukyan.

As per this statement, the respective investigation has revealed cases of large-scale damage to the state as a result of illegal business activities without a license, as well as by fraudulent means.

In particular, unlawful casino and lottery activities—that need licensing—were carried between 2014 and 2020, as a result of which the state was deprived of the opportunity to receive an investment of 40 billion drams, and it suffered a loss of 29,750,000,000 drams.

A criminal case was initiated on the fact on Saturday.
