The Seismic Protection Service of Armenia on Monday recorded a magnitude-2.2 earthquake in the country, at 6։17am local time, 6 km southeast of Marmarashen village of Ararat Province.

According to the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the hypocenter of this seismic activity was 10 kilometers beneath the surface.

It measured magnitude 2-3 at the epicenter.

The quake was felt in Dvin, Marmarashen, and Vostan villages—with magnitude 2.
