The meeting of Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin has kicked off in Minsk.

The Prime Minister of Armenia regretted that several scheduled meetings hadn’t been held due to the coronavirus pandemic. “During this period, many issues have been added to the bilateral agenda. The relations between Armenia and Russia, which are allied and strategic, are developing, and, of course, according to plan. The year 2019 was a very fruitful year in which the exchange of goods between our countries exceeded $2,000,000,000, recording a 14% growth,” he said.

According to Pashinyan, the high pace of trade was also maintained in January-February of this year, but the pandemic had a negative impact on the economy. Pashinyan added that he is certain that the two countries will be able to make trade be at a high pace again.
