According to Armenian News-NEWS.am, an incident took place in one of the offices belonging to founder of SIL Concern LLC, businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan last evening.

Moscow-based businessman Onik Karapetyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that Khachatur Sukiasyan’s younger brother had beaten him along with his bodyguard in the office located in Yerevan.

“The brother and his bodyguard called me on the phone and told me they had something to talk about in regard to my maternal aunt's son, adding that I had done business with him in 2016 and that I owed him money. I asked them how they knew about that, and they told me to see them,” Karapetyan said.

The businessman said years ago he and his maternal aunt's son had launched a construction  project in Moscow, but they had suffered financial losses, after which the maternal aunt’s son had demanded that the businessman give him back his money, but Karapetyan claims that everything was legal and that he doesn’t owe anyone anything.

“I went to the area near the office. The man and his bodyguards talked to me and said I owe them money. They stated different amounts and told me they would destroy everything I have, if I didn’t pay them. When I told them I don’t owe anyone anything, the man and his bodyguards started hitting my face and head and broke my nose. At the end, they told me not to complain to anyone since the Prime Minister and police support them. I spent the whole night undergoing a nose surgery at the hospital, but since there was no place to stay in the hospital due to the coronavirus situation, I went home,” he said.

The Police of Armenia told Armenian News-NEWS.am that Karapetyan has filed a report to the police station and informed that he was beaten during a dispute in Yerevan yesterday. The police are preparing a report, and a forensic medicine expert examination has been designated.
