The environment and administrative development minister of Lebanon, Damianos Kattar, officially resigned on Sunday, Sky News Arabia reported.
Earlier in the day, the country's information minister, Manal Abdel Samad, had announced her decision to step down in this capacity.
Prime Minister Hassan Diab convened a special cabinet meeting to discuss the situation resulting from these resignations.
