YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Monday had a telephone conversation with Secretary General Louise Mushikiwabo of the International Organization of la Francophonie (OIF), the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.
The interlocutors exchanged views on developments in the Francophonie region, and the ways to address the problems facing the OIF.
In this context, they referred to the catastrophic situation in Lebanon following the powerful explosion last week in Beirut, and to the provision of humanitarian aid to the country.
Presenting the work being carried out by the Armenian government to assist the Lebanese people, FM Mnatsakanyan stressed that as a country chairing the Francophonie Summit, Armenia underscores the assistance of the Francophonie family to the Lebanese people in overcoming the crisis and the catastrophic situation.
