Belarusian and Russian presidents had phone talks Sunday, BelTA reported referring to the Belarusian leader's press service reported.

“Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in Belarus. The President of Russia expressed his vision of the situation in the country," the statement said.

The two held thorough consultations on all issues and reaffirmed the agreement that in the event of an exacerbation of the situation in terms of external threats, the parties will react jointly in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Security Treaty.

In turn, TASS, with reference to the Kremlin press service, reports that Russia has confirmed its readiness to assist Belarus in resolving issues on the basis of the Treaty on the Union State and via the CSTO.
