EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said that the EU did not recognize the elections in Belarus, which means that it does not recognize the legitimacy of President Lukashenko, TASS reported.
According to RIA Novosti, Borrell noted that sanctions on Belarus should be adopted as soon as possible, before the meeting of the European Council, which will be held on September 24-25.
