YEREVAN. – The legislative initiative proposed by the government is aimed at ensuring the transparency of public administration, as well as expanding the data and lists of persons who are subject for declaration. The minister of justice, Rustam Badasyan, said this at Thursday’s session of the National Assembly of Armenia.

In particular, according to him, it is proposed to introduce a new institution for reporting the expenses of officials and senior officials who have to declare their property and assets, in order to get a complete picture of their financial flows. "One-time expenses exceeding 2 million drams, or if the amount of all one-time expenses exceeds 3 million drams, will be subject to declaration," he explained.

Badasyan added that the vehicles that are not registered in these officials’ names but are in their direct use at all times will also be subject to declaration.
