YEREVAN. – A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the death of a new mother in a Yerevan hospital. Arevik Khachatryan, head of the public relations department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia, informed Armenian News-NEWS.am about this.
The case has been launched under the Criminal Code article on non-fulfillment or improper performance of professional duties by the providers of medical care and services, which negligently caused the death of the patient being treated.
Khachatryan added that this criminal case was sent to the Investigative Committee for investigation.
