A provocation by the Turks took place during Wednesday morning’s demonstration organized by the Armenians in France.

As reported earlier, French Armenians have blocked two-way traffic at the A-7 highway leading to Valence. Also, they are waving the national flags of Armenia, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), and France. One of the demonstrators announced that they have decided to hold similar demonstrations every day, and the next one would be bigger and more powerful. "We [Armenians] are losing soldiers [in the Azerbaijani and Turkish military aggression against Artsakh]. (…). It is our duty to raise this issue, to demand that they [the international community] recognize the independence of Artsakh. We demand that they stop Erdogan and Aliyev. Europe needs to realize that Erdogan will get to Europe, he will get here, and the situation here will be direr," the protester said.

During the demonstration, however, a group of Turks approached the Armenians and provoked them. They made some statements, then hit two Armenian demonstrators with a hammer, then the Armenian demonstrators hit them back.

"We were protesting peacefully, [but] they [the Turks] came, attacked us with hammers, knives," said one of the Armenian protesters.

Another demonstrator said they were protesting peacefully, but there were three Turks in the resultant traffic jam, and they attacked with hammers. "They hit our friend on the head, but they got the response," the demonstrator added.

An ambulance arrived and to help the injured.

For a long time, however, one of the injured Armenian demonstrators was lying on the asphalt and was unable to move.
