During today’s discussion on the bill on making amendments to the law on local self-governance in parliament, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Vache Terteryan said the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure suggests adding another deputy mayor of Yerevan who will lead the brigade of the militia of Yerevan during martial law, adding that the mayor of Yerevan will have four deputy mayors instead of three.

“The fourth deputy mayor will be the conditional commander of the brigade of the militia in Yerevan,” Terteryan clarified and emphasized that this position will be permanent.

During the vote, 69 parliamentarians unanimously adopted the bill on making amendments to the law on local self-governance in Yerevan.
