A tragic car accident and ensuing fire took place in Armenia’s Shirak Province on Saturday, Shamshyan.com reported.

Around 3:40am, a car—driven by Russian citizen Leonid Khomyakov, 25—crashed into the back of a truck in Gyumri.

As a result of the collision, a fire broke out in the car.

The fire and rescuers workers who arrived at the scene extinguished the fire in the car, where they found the ashes of the driver’s burnt body.

A criminal case has been launched.

According to Source, Khomyakov was serving in the Russian military base in Gyumri.
