The Embassy of Armenia in France reported the following on its Facebook page:

“On January 19, within the scope of the working visit to Lyon, Ambassador of Armenia to France Hasmik Tolmajyan met with Mayor of Lyon Grégory Doucet, President of the Metropolis of Lyon Bruno Bernard and Prefect of Auvergne- Rhône-Alpes Pascal Mailhos.

During the meetings, the Ambassador thoroughly presented the consequences of the devastating war that Azerbaijan unleashed against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) with Turkey’s support and through the involvement of jihadist mercenaries and the war crimes committed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. In this context, she expressed concern about the cases of vandalism against Armenian monuments in France and the public threats of Turkish nationalist organizations targeted at members of the French-Armenian community.

Ambassador Tolmajyan expressed gratitude for the humanitarian aid that Lyon and the Metropolis of Lyon provided to Armenia and Artsakh to eliminate the consequences of the war and epidemic.

Both sides underscored the role of the decentralized cooperation between Armenia and France in the strengthening of the special relations between the two countries and touched upon the current issues on the bilateral cooperation."
