Saudi Arabia's FM Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud met with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. 

The parties met in Doha and discussed improving relations between the two countries, Qatar's state news agency QNA reported.

The visit to the Qatari capital comes after Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies agreed in January to end a bitter political scandal with Doha and restore ties severed since mid-2017.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Egypt have restored tourist links with Qatar after a deal backed by the administration of former US President Donald Trump was announced at the annual Gulf Summit in Saudi Arabia.

Egypt and Saudi Arabia have restored diplomatic relations with Qatar.
