Acting Minister of Defense of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan today held a telephone conversation with Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas. Harutyunyan presented the situation created on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border as a result of Azerbaijan’s provocation and the recent developments, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reports.

Once again, the acting defense minister stressed that the encroachments on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia are absolutely inadmissible and mentioned that he also attaches importance to the active role of the CSTO in the solution to the issue.

Zas assured that the CSTO is closely following the developments of the situation and that the organization is taking necessary steps for a peaceful solution to the issue.
