By the decree of President Armen Sarkissian—and based on the respective proposal by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan—Ararat Mirzoyan has been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

Earlier, Ararat Mirzoyan had served as the speaker of the National Assembly.
