Japan’s Foreign Minister Tosimitsu Motegi plans to visit New York to attend the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly in late September, NHK TV reports.

During the Session, Motegi will lead talks with his counterparts from other countries, including Germany, India and Brazil.

NHK also reported that Japan’s Prime Minister Ysikhide Suga won’t attend the Session and will deliver a video message.
