Over the past few days, Honored Artist of Armenia, singer, musician Hayko (Hayk Hakobyan) was fighting for his life at a hospital where he was admitted after his health condition worsened due to the coronavirus.

In 1996, Hayk Hakobyan won first place at “Moscow 96” Music Festival. In 1997, he was declared a winner at the Big Apple festival in New York. In 1998, he was announced the best author-performer at the “Ayo” competition in Armenia. In 2016, he was bestowed the title of Honored Artist of Armenia.

In 2007, the singer represented Armenia at Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Anytime You Need” and won eighth place.
