Armenia’s Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia Masanori Fukushima.

Ambassador Fukushima congratulated the defense minister on assuming office and wished him success.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to regional security. Minister Karapetyan presented the challenges facing Armenia in the security sector, particularly after the hostilities in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

The interlocutors also considered the opportunities for cooperation in the defense sector and the prospective directions.
