A secret ballot was held Wednesday in the National Assembly (NA) to elect the new member of the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia.

On the initiative of the ruling Civil Contract Party, the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs had nominated Artak Manukyan for this position.

And as a result of the secret ballot, 65 MPs voted for his candidacy, whereas 20 others—against.
