The 38th special meeting of the committee of ministers of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) member countries—and dedicated to the holding of the 18th OIF Summit—was held online Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

At the meeting, the OIF member states approved Tunisia's proposal to postpone the aforesaid summit scheduled for November in Tunisia and to hold it in November 2022 instead.

Also, OIF Secretary General Louise Mushikiwabo expressed her gratitude to Armenia—the country currently chairing the Francophonie summit—and its government for their continued support of this organization.

Armenia Deputy Foreign Minister Vahe Gevorgyan attended and addressed the meeting of the OIF committee of ministers, expressing the support of the Armenian side to Tunisia and for the organizing of the next OIF summit.
