Former employee of the National Assembly of Armenia Ashot Harutunyan has applied to the court with the demand that the latter annul the order of Chief of Staff-General Secretary of the National Assembly Vahan Naribekyan of 3 September 2021 on his dismissal. The court has accepted the statement of claim for proceedings.

During a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am, Naribekyan said he is familiar with the case.

“The employee attained the age of 65 this year, and the law allows to not extend the employment contract of a person who has attained the age of 65. However, I must say that we extended the employee’s employment contract for another six months after he attained the age of 65,” Naribekyan stated.
