Vahan Hunanyan, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, has reacted to the statement on Armenia by President Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus.

Hunanyan noted that they are convinced that the unique geopolitical analyses of the Belarusian President are aimed, first and foremost, at serving his own domestic political agenda, and they have nothing to do with Armenia and its foreign policy.

In an interview with renowned Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov, and speaking about the union state of Belarus and Russia and the prospects for other post-Soviet countries joining it, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko had said: "Armenia has no place to go. Do you think anyone needs them? They have already seen [that] ... [Armenian PM] Nikol Vovayevich [Pashinyan] has seen that."
