President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that all Western sanctions against Minsk and Moscow are illegitimate, and called it "disgusting," TASS reported.

"We've always been under sanctions, but today they are more extensive, but we are used to the disgusting attitude of the West. Why disgusting, because it's all illegitimate, it's all illegal in violation of all international agreements," Lukashenko said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.

He added that Western sanctions were a "time of opportunity" for Russia and Belarus.

"Today it is not a question of whether we will survive the sanctions or not. Today, sanctions are a time of opportunity for us," he said.
