Due to the lack of fertilizers from Russia and Belarus, farmers around the world will not be able to grow seeds, so "the greatest famine in history" could begin, writes Сompact-online.

This will happen due to a shortage of fertilizers from Russia and Belarus, said German farming spokesman Matthias Berninger.

Market experts agreed that fertilizers have become almost inaccessible to poorer countries. Given that a ban has now been imposed on fertilizers from Russia and Belarus, there are practically no alternatives to them. For example, nitrogen fertilizers cannot be an alternative due to their very high cost.

They also pointed out that seed growing problems could start after a few months. If a supply disruption does occur, then in 2023 the world will receive a lower harvest.
