Denmark will send military instructors to Britain to train Ukrainian soldiers and will also offer to train Ukrainian officers on its territory, the Danish Defense Ministry said, Reuters reported.

The announcement preceded a conference in Copenhagen Thursday at which defense ministers from Britain, Denmark and Ukraine are expected to discuss long-term support for Ukraine, including military training, demining and arms supplies.

Instructors will provide basic military training, including urban warfare and tactical operations, to Ukrainian soldiers with zero or limited combat experience, Defense Minister Morten Bodskov told Jyllands-Posten newspaper.

Denmark has participated in British and Canadian training missions in Ukraine since 2015 and provided Ukraine with weapons and cybersecurity support after Russia's "invasion," the ministry said.
