Turkey will remind Finland and Sweden of a document with ten points that the Scandinavian countries must fulfill in order for Ankara to agree to support their entry into NATO, the newspaper Yeni Şafak reported.

Ankara intends to submit to Helsinki and Stockholm an updated list of terrorists who should be extradited to Turkey. The newspaper clarifies that the names of terrorists who were previously requested from the Scandinavian countries but not returned were added to the list.

On August 26, Finland will host the first meeting of the Permanent Joint Mechanism, established under the tripartite memorandum signed by Turkey, Finland and Sweden at the NATO summit in Madrid at the end of June. Then the countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism, including with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) banned in Turkey.

Turkey will be represented by a delegation led by Presidential Spokesman Ibrahim Kalin and Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal.
