Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Major General Eduard Asryan held talks with his Russian counterpart, Army General Valery Gerasimov, the RA Ministry of Defense press service told NEWS.am.

The meeting took place within the framework of the visit of the head of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces to Russia.

Asryan briefed Gerasimov on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and on the border with Azerbaijan.

The sides also discussed Armenian-Russian cooperation in the military sphere, and touched upon the modernization and reform of the Armenian Armed Forces.
