YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: The NA [(National Assembly)] fall session will begin on September 12.

The previous session was held under conditions of unprecedented restrictions and "repression" for oppositionists and reporters. The NA leadership had installed rapiscan devices near the entrances of the hall to inspect the MPs (mainly oppositionists) so that they do not bring sharp objects into the hall. And in the corridors for reporters, a soldier was stationed every meter so that no reporter would pass through the "Lachin corridor" or approach the offices of the MPs of the authorities.

Yesterday, we inquired from the NA staff whether the restrictions will be tightened or relaxed in the new session. We were unofficially told by NA that the "Lachin corridor" would be open for us. That is to say, the corridor—which the reporters have named the "Lachin corridor"—connecting the two NA buildings, will be liberated.

Regarding the rest of the restrictions, the NA leadership does not have any decision yet—it depends on “how well” the reporters “will behave.”
