The Georgian authorities have calculated the number of Russian businessmen who have moved to the country and registered their business there during the special operation in Ukraine. Their total number for six months reached 7.5 thousand, reports Interpressnews.

According to the National Statistics Service of Georgia, since the beginning of March, there have been 544 organizations with Russian owners registered in the country, as well as 6.9 thousand individual entrepreneurs and two branches of foreign companies.

The largest number - 2.1 thousand - of Russian businessmen without category was registered in March. More than 1.6 thousand were registered in April, more than 1.3 thousand in May, more than 1.2 thousand in June and 1.1 thousand in July.

Georgia has become one of the most popular destinations for tourist trips and change of residence for Russians after the imposition of sanctions and closure of air links with most Western countries. From January to July Russians made 403 thousand tourist trips to Georgia.
