An armed man has been arrested in Lebanon after robbing a Lebanese bank in the southern city of Ghazieh in an attempt to recover his savings frozen in the country's banking system as a result of the three-year financial crisis, a security source told Reuters.

The source added that the man was able to retrieve some of his funds from the Byblos bank in Gaziya before he was detained.

It was at least the third such incident this week in which a depositor broke into a bank to try to take his money by force.
