Georgia is again ready to act as a mediator for the resolution of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, on the borders of which there was an escalation last week. Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili announced this to reporters.

"Georgia has always been ready to offer the country to our southern neighbors as a place where they can start a dialogue to strengthen peace. Our country's proposal in this regard is in effect again. If there is a need for our country to be engaged in the process as a mediator, we are always ready," said the Georgian FM.

He added that Georgia has no preconditions in this regard, and that Tbilisi's main objective is peace and stability in the region.
