Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of the Federative Republic of Brazil on the occasion of his election victory, the press service of the President reported.

The message reads, in particular:

"Armenia gives great importance to the consistent deepening and development of friendly relations with Brazil.

I hope that during your presidency we will jointly give a new impetus to bilateral relations and expand the agenda of cooperation, enriching it with new programs for the benefit of our people.

I wish you good health and success in all your endeavors."
