Baku authorities have once again refused the Popular Front party to hold a protest in front of the city administration on November 11, Turan reported.

On Wednesday, the Popular Front Party appealed to the mayor's office of the capital with the intention to hold a picket on November 11 at 15:00-16:00. The action is planned with demands to ensure freedom of assembly, release political prisoners, hold free elections and democratic reforms, as well as to open land borders of Azerbaijan. On Friday, the city administration rejected the application of the PUFA, finding the rally in "inexpedient."

The response from the mayor's office noted that the proposed rally site was located near "heavy traffic," subway stations and educational institutions. PFPA considered the response of the mayor's office unlawful and intends to hold the action anyway.

PFPA has already attempted twice, on September 30 and October 24, to hold similar rallies in front of the Parliament and the City Administration. However, the police brutally suppressed these actions, detaining dozens of protesters.
