On Black Friday, Americans spent a record $9.12 billion for online shopping, which is 2.3 percent more than the previous ones. This was reported by the Adobe Analytics division of Adobe Inc., which analyzes online shopping data.

The respective study was conducted using data from 85 percent of the top 100 online stores in the United States.

It was expected that people would visit stores after the pause due to the coronavirus, but such visitors were few and the purchases were mostly made online.
