British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has not ruled out the transfer of fighter jets to Ukraine, despite the need for long-term training of pilots.

"No, we are not ruling it out. We are in dialogue with our Ukrainian friends about how best to support them. But we have to remember that combat aircraft are incredibly sophisticated machines that will take months if not years of training to fly," he told Talk TV.

He added that he was proud that in his 100 days as prime minister, London's military assistance strategy for Ukraine has changed and become more active, noting that Britain was the first country to decide to send Kiev battle tanks.
