Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Anadolu reports.

Stoltenberg visited Turkey after the Kahramanmarash earthquakes. He arrived in Adana after meeting with Erdogan.

Akar and Stoltenberg flew around Hatay and inspected the damage caused by the earthquake in the city.

The Turkish minister thanked the secretary general, calling NATO's actions an indicator of the alliance's "unity and solidarity."

He welcomed NATO's decision to establish a 2,000-person tent city in Iskenderun.
