The urban search and rescue team from Armenia on Thursday completed its search and rescue operations in Adiyaman, Turkey.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am that these Armenian rescuers returned to Armenia on Friday.

They were met by Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan and Director of Rescue Service Kamo Tsutsulyan at the Armenian-Turkish border near the Margara bridge. Ghazaryan thanked the rescuers for their work.

As a result of their eight-day search and rescue operations in the earthquake disaster zone in Turkey, the internationally qualified Armenian urban search and rescue team, in cooperation with local assistance and other international teams, pulled out three injured and the bodies of ten casualties from the earthquake rubble by using various rescue methods, and carried out large-scale search operations on the spot, including with cynological teams.
