More than 150 people have been detained on suspicion of looting in earthquake-affected regions, Haberturk reported citing Turkey's Justice Ministry.

"152 suspects have been detained in cases of theft, looting and qualified fraud in the region," the report said.

In addition, 83 suspected contractors involved in the construction and repair of buildings that collapsed in the earthquake were also arrested during the investigation, the daily said.
