The death toll from earthquakes in southeastern Turkey has risen to 41,156, the Authority for Disaster Management (AFAD) said.
"The death toll in Turkey is 41,156," the department said.
The magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes occurred nine hours apart on Feb. 6 in Kahramanmaras province in southeastern Turkey. The tremors, followed by hundreds of aftershocks, were felt in 11 provinces of the country and neighboring countries, including Syria.
