Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom has announced that an EU conference on fundraising for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria will be held in Brussels on March 16, Anadolu Ajansı reported.

Sweden intends to organize the donor conference in Brussels together with the European Commission, acting as the EU presiding country.

The goal is to provide additional support to people in Turkey and Syria and try to do everything possible to mitigate the terrible consequences of this earthquake, Billstrom said.
