An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 was recorded in Iceland, this was reported Tuesday by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

According to this information, the epicenter was located 214 km to the North-East from the country's capital, Reykjavik with the population of around 118 thousand people. The source was located at a depth of 10 km.

There was no information about victims or damage.
