Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan spoke on CNN about China's plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

He said he could not predict the future, but that Washington will not dictate to Kyiv how the conflict will end.

According to Sullivan, Beijing's plan should focus on the first point: respect for countries' sovereignty.

He also noted that Ukrainians themselves must decide their own fate.
