German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius on Sunday reacted skeptically to a Chinese proposal for a cease-fire in the war in Ukraine.

"When I hear reports - and I don't know if they are true - that China may be planning to supply Russia with kamikaze drones and at the same time present a peace plan, I suggest judging China by its actions, not its words," he said in an interview with German public broadcaster Deutschlandfunk.

Earlier, China proposed a peace plan to resolve the situation in Ukraine, which, however, did not arouse enthusiasm in the West, and U.S. President Joe Biden rejected it, saying that the Chinese peace plan is "applauded" by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Besides, the Western media has recently been increasingly reporting, citing anonymous sources, that China is considering transferring drones and ammunition to Russia.
