As long as the ruling Georgian Dream party is in power, it will not allow a "second front" to open on the territory of Georgia, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said on the air if Imedi television.

"I know that several dozen people came from Ukraine. I want to address them: do not have illusions and do not cherish expectations that something will happen here [in Georgia]," he said.

According to Garibashvili, he wants people participating in combat operations in Ukraine to return to their homes, but calls on them "not to give in to dirty provocations".

As the Georgian PM stated, the concept of "second front" was mentioned for the first time in the context of Georgia by Ukrainian politicians, in particular, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov.

The premier of Georgia slammed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as well for supporting the participants of the protests against the withdrawn Georgian bill "On Transparency of Foreign Influence," according to which non-commercial legal entities and mass media in Georgia were to receive the status of “foreign agents” if more than 20 percent of their income comes from abroad.

According to Garibashvili, this support of Zelenskyy, who had wished Georgia "democratic success," proves that he is "motivated so that something happens here [in Georgia] and changes."
