An earthquake, with a magnitude of 5.8, occurred in southern Mexico, the local seismological service reported on Twitter.

The quake was registered on Tuesday at 10:55pm local time.

Its epicenter was located 36 kilometers northwest of Tecpan de Galeana city in the State of Guerrero, and at a depth of 10 kilometers.

No information was received about possible victims and destruction.
