
The counting of ballots for the second round of Turkish presidential elections has begun.
According to 67 percent of the opened ballot boxes, incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (54%) is leading, Turkish Milliyet reports.
His rival, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, has so far received 45% of votes.
The second round of presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey were held today, May 28, as neither Erdoğan nor his main rival Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu won over 50% of the vote in elections on May 14.
