YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and French President Nicolas Sarkozy officially opened, in Armenian capital Yerevan’s France Square on Friday, Rodin’s sculpture of Jules Bastien-Lepage, which is France’s gift to Armenia.

In his address at the event, Sarkozy said “genocide” in Armenian and this was welcomed with great enthusiasm by those present, who were holding in their hands the tri-color flags of Armenia and France.  

After his address, Nicolas Sarkozy approached the crowd, shook the hands of many and conversed with them.
